Alien (1979) is a masterpiece of horror and sc-fi. In normal HD, the movie is beautiful, but in 4K it it absolutely gorgeous.

In such a scary movie, good sound is very critical, and here it sounds phenomenal. It is like you are on the Nostromo yourself.

Alien in 4K is an absolute stunner to watch. I have a 65" LG C9 OLED and the picture blows me away! There is beautiful fine film grain--images appear nice and grainy rather than smoothed out with too much DNR. Overall, one of my top 3 4K films!

Audio  
The sound is excellent. The music in this film is very atmospheric--one of my favourite soundtracks--and it ushers the listener through the film beautifully. Particularly the second half of the filim, the klaxons are overwhelming and stress-inducing; Ellen Ripley's footsteps and gasps for breath are everpresent; the shrieks of the Xenomorph shocking!

I haven't yet consumed the bonus features on the disc, but the art cards and booklet are just superb!

Overall, I would highly recommend this to anyone who is an Alien fan. The 3D FullSlip is an absolute wonder to behold, and the film itself has never looked or sounded better than in its 4K format.

Tretia edícia Votrelca je uložená v embossovanom fullslipe a obsahuje tradičné vybavenie - steelbook, obálku s kartami a booklet s informáciami a fotkami (je iný ako ten v edícii 2).

Obraz je na svoj vek výborný, perfektne vyčistený a bez jedinej chybičky. Film je v kinoverzii aj v režisérskom zostrihu.

Audio  
Na zvuku je predsa len vidieť, že film má už nejaké tie desaťročia za sebou. Nie je zlý, ale ak by bol mixovaný dnes, znel by úplne inak. Český dabing snáď ani netreba pri tomto filme počúvať, originál je rozhodne lepší.

Bonuses  
Dve hviezdičky by bolo "špatné", a to by som disku krivdil. Sú tu dva audiokomentáre, čo je ale zlé, že bez akýchkoľvek titulkov. Tiež nejaké vystrihnuté scény a izolovaná hudobná stopa. Je pravdou, že takéto vydanie by si zaslúžilo bonusový disk. Ešte šťastie, že bonusov je kopec v antologii, ktorá vyšla pred pár rokmi a zrejme ju má (tak ako ja) každý fanúšik tejto série.

Verdict
Niet čo riešiť - klasika, ktorá sa dostala na krásne tri edície Filmareny, určite poteší každého fanúšika sci-fi. Ostáva už len pripravovať miesto na ďalšie diely série.

Na discích se nachází audiokomentář režiséra a vystřižené scény, takže asi to, co studio v danou chvíli nabídlo. Neškodil by nějaký krátký dokument z natáčení.

Moc pěkná edice kultovního hororového snímku, ze kterého dýchá i po těch letech vyjádřit velké poděkování za to, že si dala s tímto klenotem takovou péči!

Celkově balení hodnotím famónzě. Přes vizuály až po podobu samotného steelbooku, který je také parádní.

Na to, jak už je to pár let, co se film natočil, tak kvalita obrazu je na topové úrovni a je to pohled.

Viděl jsem zatím pouze v dabingu, což určitě má vliv n akvalitu zvuku, takže doplním i anglickou verzi.

Výtečný přepis do digitální podoby bez nějakých zásadních přerušování, skákání, kostičkování a podobně.

Originální zvuková stopa je naprosto perfektní. Česká zvuková stopa je kvalitou na úrovni DVD. Český dabing je super.

Krásné balení s vydáním v klasickém BD a vylepšeném UHD, ve kterém jsou patrné odlišnosti v bervnosti některých záběrů oproti standardnímu BD. Audiovizuální orgie, takže super.

Můj první 3D FullSlip a rozhodně musím říct, že ne poslední. Jsem z něj jednoznačně nadšen a trochu si vyčítám, že jsem tak neučinil již např. u Covenantu. Vynikající práce a velké DĚKUJI !

Po obrazové stránce není co vytknout, vše je dobře viditelné i ve tmavých scénách. Ikdyž se jedná o starší snímek.

Po zvukové stránce také nemám co bych vytknul, originální zvuková stopa je dobře namixována a český dabing je povedený.

Celkově hodnotím tuto edici 2D jako velmi pěkně zpracovanou, je to další opravdový klenot mezi ostatními FAC edicemi.

Nádherné 3D prevedenie fullslipu. Tieto priestorové obaly sa mi veľmi páčia, aj keď osobne preferujem užšie prevedenie fullslipov. Tieto XL sú už fakt dosť veľké a ťažké.

Video  
Obraz krásny, tu nieje o čom. 4K UHD je zvládnuté fantasticky. Tu sa upgrade z Blu-Ray disku dosť oplatí.

Audio  
Zvuk nejak zvlášť nevyniká. Škoda, tešil som sa na upgrade v podobe Dolby Atmos, či DTS X. Obsahuje pôvodný HD-Master 5.1, prípadne zaujímavý, trochu nezvyčajný HD-Master 4.1 pri kino verzii filmu. Kedy vám pri zostave 7.1 hrajú miesto surroundov zadné back surround kanály.

Bonuses  
Bonusy sú asi fajn, preto dávam plný počet hviezdičiek 😃 Bonusy ja totižto nesledujem, z dôvodu, že nechcem moc vedieť detaily z natáčania filmu. Nerád pozerám ako sa ktoré špeciálne efekty natáčajú. Stráca to pre mňa čaro. Ale som rád, keď sa medzi bonusový materiál dostanú vymazané scény, ako je tomu aj pri tomto titule.

Verdict
Celkovo hodnotím prevedenie tejto edície za veľmi atraktívne a podarené. Okrem pekných darčekov obsahuje aj nádherný steelbook.
